Dr Safdar Ali Khan

Presently working as cardiac and general anesthetist with Kaul associates since September 2017.

Dr Safdar Ali Khan completed his post graduate training in Anesthesia from Armed Forces Medical College, Rawalpindi in 1990. He is a member and fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan since 1997 & 2000 respectively. After serving for more than ten years in different capacities in hospital and field, both in Pakistan and abroad, he joined cardiac anesthesia in 2001. Since then, he is practicing cardiac anesthesia anesthesia regularly with a special interest in adult cardiac anesthesia. After joining Kaul associates, he is also practicing neuro anesthesia regularly and assisting in most complex cases of spinal surgery, brain surgery and procedures like deep brain stimulation.
Dr Safdar Ali Khan is a keen learner as well as teacher. He is regularly involved in teaching and is a recognized supervisor in the field of cardiothoracic anesthesia by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. He is also an instructor for Basic Life Support & Advanced Cardiac Life Support courses by American Heart Association since 2015. In addition, he held the title of training center faculty for international training center of American Heart Association as well.
As an anesthesiologist he has served outside Pakistan in various positions including:

  • United Nation Protection Force in Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • King’s College Hospital, London. UK
