An Alumni of Allama Iqbal Medical College, chose the path of Anesthesiolgy and her journey started after joining Fatima Memorial Hospital where she worked for more than half a decade. After that she was fortunate enough to work under the kind supervision of the most illustrious supervisor Prof. Dr Sajid Usman Kaul. She has also worked as senior registrar in cardiac anesthesia at PIC. It has been more than 2 decades since she has been with Kaul associates, working tirelessly to make it a better place for her future residents. She has been working as MCPS and FCPS supervisor since 2009 and her trainees are serving both nationally and internationally. Also, she is a postgraduate examiner. Currently, she is working at Doctors Hospital and Medical Center as HOD from past 12 years.
In addition to all types of anaesthesia, her areas of special interest are trauma, orthopaedic and spine surgery. She takes exceptional interest in anesthetizing challenging sick and geriatric patients.
Dr Maryam is a staunch believer of patient's safety and care, therefore working for it brings her the utmost satisfaction. She has contributed to different research works and also have taken many different courses.
Dr Maryam and her colleagues have dedicated more than half of their lives, making Kaul Associates a better place for their current as well as future residents. She says if an anesthesiologist wants to experience the epitome of workplace harmony, then Kaul Associates is the perfect place.
