Dr Liaqat Ali did his fellowship from Kaul Associates in 2003 under the supervision of Prof. Sajid Usman Kaul and since then he working as consultant in this department. He is also working as an associate professor in Allama Iqbal Medical College/ Jinnah hospital. He is a supervisor for FCPS training since 2009. He is an examiner at CPSP and the University of Health Sciences.
He is providing anaesthesia services to all specialities except cardiac anaesthesia. His special interest is in regional anaesthesia, use of ultrasound, bronchscope in perioperative care & ICU, all types of vascular access, Acute & chronicpain management services, paediatric & thoracic anaesthesia. He conducted many regional anaesthesia workshops with local and international faculty in many cities. He conducts FCPS/MCPS/MS exam preparatory courses for students from all parts of Pakistan. His 15 research articles and one book chapter about pain management have been published in local and international journals. He has trained more than 15 anaesthetists who are working nationally as well as internationally.
He is a dedicated and hardworking person and very passionate about providing quality patient care and teaching. He wants his trainees and younger colleagues to be competent at the international level. He believes in team building and reviewing quality indicators of the health care system. He believes that to have a better and more successful health care system, the next generation must always surpass the previous one.
