Found the answer to her calling in anesthesia when she joined KAUL Associates as PGR right after house job in 2009. The exposure to diverse variety of complicated cases and advanced skills learnt during training made her passionate enough to continue her career as consultant with KAUL associates after passing her FCPS exams in 2014.
Currently she is working in Doctor Hospital and Medical Center, a 260 bedded tertiary care hospital in Lahore, as part of anesthesia cover provided by KAUL associates. Her main area of interest are complex spine surgeries, Orthopedics surgeries, regional anesthesia and peripheral blocks, ultrasound guided vascular access and peri operative management of geriatric patients. Additionally she is responsible to follow monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of anesthesia department as part of hospital CQI team. Moreover she actively participates in departmental effort to maintain MSDS (Minimum Service Delivery Standards) set by PHC.
Apart from anesthesia, she is passionate about continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. She actively pursues these interests by attending workshop and online certifications.
She believes in the long term benefits of bed side teaching and is excited to start next phase as supervisor as a way to pay forwards.
